the inspiration (and primary baby model) behind babycheeksbabycheeks
was born when its founder and designer, Jen Dimler, a former juvenile
products developer and mom of two decided that she wanted something a
little more special than the usual mass-market, cookie-cutter clothing
and accessories for her baby girl. Armed with a sewing machine, a few
ideas, some designer fabrics and a passion for great design, her dream
became a reality in the summer of 2008.
Mom Made in New England
There are no sweat shops or factories here. Everything is made the old-fashioned way-- hand cut, sewn and inspected for quality by a mom in her studio right here in New England. Our materials are carefully chosen as much for their unique and fun style as they are for their form and function. Fabrics like durable 100% designer cottons and luxuriously soft Minky and chenille are not only gentle against baby's delicate skin, but absorbent and machine washable too. We wash all of our fabrics and garments in pediatrician-approved Dreft detergent prior to assembly to avoid shrinkage and poor performance. After all, what good is an adorable bib or changing pad if it can't live up to the rigors of toddlerhood or survive your washing machine?
